
In July of 2016, the Castafari caught and boated an 88 inch 182 pound wahoo! This beast is a pending 130 lb. line class men's world record
catch. The fish was caught by Angler Derek Whitkamper. The fish had an astounding 39 inch girth, and a mouth that resembled that of an alligator!

In
2003, it was this monster wahoo that shattered the existing Massachusetts
state record, weighing in at 84 pounds and measuring over 7 feet long.
An absolutely beautiful fish caught by Joe Bacca on August 19th 2002
on the Castafari 60 miles South of Nantucket. The fish was caught
on 80 pound test line in approximately 20 minutes. Way to go Joe!

On
August 2nd of 2002 while documenting footage with Saltwater Sportsman
Magazine, captain Damon Sacco caught this 278 pound bigeye tuna from
the Castafari while fishing out at the canyons. This fish was caught
on a Penn 20 spooled with 50 pound test line. It shattered the Massachussetts
state record. The fish measured 73 inches, and took 3 and ½
hours to bring in.
